I love the tudors and The My Story books are amazing. The books are toned down a little but they are still quite gory but I think they are incredibly informative and I remember reading these when I was younger and learning loads. I think they are amazing for kids!
I love the tudors so this was always one of my favourites and it was so good to reread it, I still wish I knew what the letter said!

I absolutely LOVED this book. I now want to know more about Queen Elizabeth. I think she was a great ruler than her crazy half-sister Queen Mary, who was a fanatic and just crazy (yes! Crazy is the word for her). Quite frankly, when I was reading other books about Mary, I felt sorry for her, and thought she would be a good ruler, who would not spread hate and burn people like it is no big deal. Her nickname was Bloody Mary...
This time, this book was a diary of a girl named Matilda, who by a chance found a letter in her diary (which was given by her father, who got that notebook from Anne Boleyn, who was Elizabeth’s mother). Throughout the book, I wondered why Matilda isn’t opening that letter which was addressed to Elizabeth. But Matilda didn’t open it and gave it to Elizabeth not opened, which (of course) Elizabeth much appreciated it. Then I understood that Matilda respected Anne Boleyn’s last wish and Elizabeth’s privacy. If I find a letter, I won’t read it.
I wish I knew what was in that letter.
Enjoyed Matilda’s daily life and knowing her life, parents and friends.

A great book for older children that will bring to life this bloody period of Tudor history.

Loved this series when I was younger and decided to revisit them again as an adult. Still enjoyable. Highly recommend as an introduction to history for younger readers.
