Super short listen about a tiny part of Marie Curie’s life. It definitely got me intrigued to learn more.

This was a short love story on how Marie met pierre. Honestly it bored me and had nothing to do with her discoveries.

Not a fan. I was looking forward to more of the science and brilliance of Marie Curie and instead I was greeted with a love story. The author is a good writer but this genre isn't for me and I didn't realize that's what it was going to be about when I sat down to listen to the short audio book. Honestly, it's a bit insulting that she took such a brilliant mind and starts out with the mention of being a woman in a man's world...but then reduces her to lovey-dovey drivel. 1/5.

This was a cute version of the story, and narrated by Hillary Huber whose voice I love very much. All in all, it was really a fun audio book that I would have enjoyed more if I weren't scrambling to get to class on time while listening to it.

This is one of the Audible Original selections for this month. I downloaded it expecting to learn more about Marie Curie and how she became the famed scientist she was, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. It talked about how she tried to be recognized as a woman scientist and how she met her husband. I wanted more science.
It was a quick read. Well, listen. I was not the biggest fan of the narrator, though. It oftentimes sounded like it was computerized, rather than a recording of someone reading.

We already have too few famous female scientists who are given proper recognition for their work. The last thing we need is to use their names and stories to write romance and perpetuate terrible stereotypes of women in science.
