Marvin's entire personality is his anxiety. There's nothing else there.

I enjoyed this book quite a lot. I really loved the chemistry between Olan and Marvin, and their interactions at the beginning while they flirted via text and got to know each other were so cute. I really loved how they each had a goofy lightness in regards to their physical relationship with each other, too. It still had that intensity you want(and that spice 🥵)but there was also giggling and clumsiness and so much gentle fondness. The big emotional issues in this book I feel were handled really well, and there wasn't too terrible of a break up...but I almost wanted either more or less drama somehow. The author managed to sprinkle in just enough angst to really dig in, but not enough for a good proper wallow, and in this case, with these characters, I kind of dislike how middle of the road it ended up being. But! I really thought the ending came together so well, and it really was a lovely story overall.

This is a 2.5 for me. I went in with really high hopes as an M/M romance fan. I was expecting a lot and it fell flat for me. The story was slow and the characters were very immature at times. I love a book with Jewish representation, but this felt like very forced.  Like the author just threw in some Yiddish words every few pages, but it did not feel authentic to the character. This book may be for other people but it was not for me.
