A good introduction to the concept of Pride using a combination of historic and contemporary events and figures in the LGBTQIAP+ community. Illustrations of people's faces take a bit of getting used to as they are stylized and most are of actual people you recognize. Vocabulary is a bit advanced for a typical picture book audience so it feels like it's appropriate for ages 6-11 or younger with a bigger vocabulary.

This is a lovely book that starts with Stonewall and goes through many different ways that people can show pride in themselves for being exactly who they are. Out LGBTQ+ celebrities and influential figures are named in illustrations throughout the book and brief biographies appear in the back of the book. This would be a great book to share when talking about Pride or LGBTQ+ history and it lends itself easily to further research.
