DNF after listening for almost 3 hours. Characters are horrible and main character is a doormat.

Fixie lives up to her name, always fixing things. The story begins when Fixie saves a strangers laptop. The stranger, Seb, writes Fixie an I Owe You on a coffee sleeve. Fixie has no intention of calling in the I Owe You but her feelings change as the story progresses. I truly loved this story. Fixie begins the story as a timid, mind in the past, putting everyone before herself girl. I enjoyed watching her grow through the story. The book is a light hearted, funny book and fits in very well with Sophie Kinsella’s book. I highly recommend this book!!!

Not a huge fan. I found almost all of the main characters to be very unlikable and one-sided, with that one side being overly exaggerated and therefore coming across as unrealistic. I enjoyed some parts of this book, but most of it was hard for me to get through.

Kinsella’s books are all the same. A meek doormat of a woman eventually finds her voice.

If you’ve read Sophie Kinsella before, this one does not disappoint. Fixie the heroine made me so angry in the beginning, she’s took it upon herself to fix all the issues with her family and is in love with the stupidest guy. Thankfully she meets Seb and after saving his laptop from water damage, he is soo thankful that he gives her a written and signed I Owe You, which she redeems. I really enjoyed this book, it was nice to see Fixie coming into her own and standing up for herself. I have to say that I love how close her family was, although for most of the book I hated most of her family members. A very fun read indeed

Definitely a total let-down! The story was too messy, and didn't feel like it had enough substance to begin with. The ending was so haphazardly managed.. really disappointed in this one.

This was really cute. I liked a lot how the story developed and the characters evolved. The only flaw I see is that sometimes while reading I felt like I was missing a part of the book. Like from a moment to other something happened but for some reason I missed. Other than that it was pretty great.

I expected this to be mainly romance, but the romance wasn't as present as the family dynamics in the story. I wished there was more about the romance, and that we saw more about Fixie and Seb, cuz the blurb makes it seem like that's the case.
The ending was wholesome but kinda rushed.

Regardless, the book was so so fun to read and very enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

Why does so much chick lit involve weak women? I’m bored of it. We can do better than perpetuate the idea that women need saving, or that they are at the mercy of men.
