Ok, soo, I read this book for a bookclub, and I felt like ya know, I HAD to read for that reason only, and probably would not have gotten around to this Sanderson book until I had finished, probably every other Sanderson book. Well, I’m gonna say that it was pretty worth it, I have a few quabbles, but its a really good story, with some very interesting and intriguing things about it. Doomslug, my love, when will you pilot the ship home? Oh when will you have your own spin off series of 27 books where you, the dashing pilot of a sentient ship conquers the galaxy with a ruthless vengeance for cheese puffs and broccoli?

so, something that really spurred me in and made me read like, half of the book in a day was the whole “millions of eyes in the sky watching her” dealio, cause that’s creepy

Scifi top gun. Loved it. Loved the characters, loved the banter, the fighting was excellent and the mystery was intriguing. Didn’t want to put it down.

Spensa es un personaje TAN bueno y un claro ejemplo de nunca rendirse y M-Bot es lo mejor del libro🖤.
Quiero ver cómo va evolucionando la relación de Jorgen y Spensa y ver a Gali convertirse en el mejor ingeniero.
Me ha dado mucha pena lo de Arcada pero, a la vez, me ha encantado cómo al final trabajan todos en equipo🥰.
Este libro es más bien introductorio y me ha encantado, pero sé que los demás van a ser igual de buenos o incluso mejores. No puedo esperar más a leerme el siguiente💜

When I started this book I was sure I would dislike it, since I don't have a really good track record with sci-fi about space wars. However, as the story progressed, I became more and more invest.
Spensa is an amazing main character. I now some people find her anoying, but I loved her and her development throw out the narrative. I actually liked all the main cast, but they do need some more fleashing out that I hope will come in the sequel. And I have to give it to Brandon Sanderson for making me actually care for and enjoy the relationship between Spensa and Jorgen, since romance is usually my main issue with YA novels.
The worldbuilding was interesting, and I get that this is a plot heavy book, but I was left wanting some more indepth explanations about how things worked.
The story itself was great. When it got to the last part, it became impossible to put the book down. The twits are all very well done and unpredictable. Although, the big reveal in the end could have received a more bombastic reaction from the characters. They all just accepted it and moved on.
Over all, great book. I will definitely continue the series and probably read some other works by Sanderson.
