A story of a complicated family with flawed but interesting characters who I cared about and rooted for. The structure is like a puzzle box and I appreciated the craft, but the jumps in perspective were a bit much for me.

excelente delicioso fascinante!!!!!!! una sinopsis que me decía 0 unidades de cosas y sin embargo una historia que me lo ha dicho absolutamente todo...de nuevo unos rumores que se revelan ciertos: esta mujer escribe demasiado bien. en fin estoy obsesionada, me ha sorprendido tantísimo. qué dramático todo, y real también, y bonito, y desagradable. siento que querría decir más cosas acerca de este libro pero no encuentro las palabras. ya las incluye todas, supongo.

tengo la sensación de que en alguna parte se ha abierto una ventana de golpe, o de que una ficha de dominó ha caído sobre otra y ha provocado una reacción en cadena. se me ha venido encima una ola enorme, después se ha retirado, y todo lo que había debajo ha cambiado para siempre.

la pena que siente le parece una entidad que lleva pegada de una forma horrible y dolorosa, como se adhiere una medusa a la piel, como el bocio, o un absceso. se la imagina viscosa, amorfa, con espinas, horrible de ver. le parece increíble que nadie más la vea. "no te preocupes por eso — diría —, no es más que la pena que tengo. por favor, no le hagas caso y sigue hablando."

¡qué redención, recibir amor! cuando nos aman damos lo mejor de nosotros. no hay nada que pueda sustituirlo.
