This, I think, overcame Dead Beat as my favorite Dresden book (First being Changes).
Detective noir + fantasy = Dresden Files. That’s what you tell people when you pitch this series. One book is about solving a murder committed by magic, another can be finding someone kidnapped by a group of vampires, and Skin Game is about robbing a vault…in the underworld…while being forced to work with a/the primary villain of the series.
Harry talks to Maggie (Finally!), Butters
gets a lightsaber and becomes a night of the cross
, Micheal is back in action, Uriel gets humanized, and Harry
gives birth and I cannot wait to see more of her.

 Oh, and also,
Goodman Grey is one of my new favorite characters. The whole scheme Harry pulled by hiring him first and the bombshell they were talking in code SINCE THEY FIRST MET, so now you can read the book again and pick up on things they were saying in code, is cooler than Arctis Tor.

Cerberus is a very good boi.
