I don't get how some people can find this shit good like... why is Murakami writing about
1, a fifteen-year-old kid's penis so often;
2, a fifteen-year-old kid getting a hand job from a grown woman;
3, the same woman who said she wants to be his legitimate sister!!;
4, and to top it off, poor cats being disected alive like...??????

I genuinely can't see what's so enjoyable in this.

Oshima deserves better. In other words, he deserves me.

Maybe it's just me, but I think if you enjoyed The Master and Margarita, this is another good one.

This book is really strange and I don’t know how to feel. Some parts I really did not enjoy reading and I don’t know why anybody would think it’s a good idea to write that down and publish it. But overall it was kind of a great book? Definitely loved the idea of different worlds and how that was done, but I think I’d be scared of recommending it to anyone because I don’t want people to think I’m sick. I am confused.
