This was a cute novella about the supporting characters in the first book. It was the first novella I’ve ever read and it was a good length for the story to be told. If I reread Maybe Someday I’d reread this one too- quick, good writing, already have the character backstories, etc.

“The only difference between falling in love and being in love is that your heart already knows how you feel, but your mind is too stubborn to admit it.”

Maybe Not is a novella, so it's definitely an easy & fast read! We knew Warren and Bridgette from Maybe Someday, but here there are a lot of stuff that we didn't have many details to. This book is narrated from Warren's point of view, which was great. It was funny all around, and great to see some backstory to Warren and Bridgette but I just feel like I was expecting more of a captivating story for them both. BUT if you read Maybe Someday, I recommend reading this novella because it doesn't keep you wondering for those two characters and why Bridgette was so unlikeable!!

How is it that every male character she writes is toxic? How is it that none of her male characters understand the concept of consent? This book had no plot, no character development, just a guy watching porn hoping to catch sight of his roommate.

This was a follow up book to “Maybe Someday”. I wouldn’t recommend this book if you don’t read Maybe Someday first. You get to follow along with the relationship of two of the characters from The first book. You’ll learn about Bridget and Warrens relationship during the same timeline of the first book. Therefore some things that occurred in the first book make more sense after reading this one.

This book was much much steamier than I expected. I feel like their relationship was definitely not the healthiest, but alot of CH books are similar. Not a bad short novel.

This was just a cute, fun little novella.

Was it necessary? No. Novellas usually aren't. But it was fun to see the evolution of Bridgette and Warren's relationship after getting snippets in Maybe Someday.
