Great idea, mediocre execution. Had some interesting parts, but mostly felt like it was never ending. It also felt unfinished.

I wanted to like it more, if for no other reason than the fact that I've had it on my bookshelf since 1999--that's 31 years!--but this wasn't the book I hoped it would be. The book-within-a-book structure just added to the surreality. I love philosophy, but even the philosophic lessons within couldn't save it for me.
