Been to long since I picked up a Sandra Brown book, I used to search like crazy at the library for more books by her to read. Bit this one made me remember why I like her so much, it's usually a good mystery with some romance thrown in and I like the heroines more often then not. But I haven't found another one that made me feel like the first one that I read by her that was truly exciting and amazing!

3.5. Read the book. A pretty bizarre final twist at the end.

White Hot was a thrilling novel that will have you second-guessing everything straight until the epilogue. In addition to this mystery, there's the instant spark between Sayre Lynch and her family's lawyer Beck Merchant. Sayre, refusing to have anything to do with her family and anyone associated with them tries her best to resist this undeniable connection between her and Beck. Beck who has his own tricks up his sleeve struggles to separate work and pleasure. This novel is definitely worth the read with its many twists and turns and will undoubtedly keep you up past your bedtime.

White Hot

A solid romantic suspense.

While the plot is entertaining, it is not extraordinary and the supposedly surprising twist is actually predictable.

The characters are quite stereotypical: the patriarch, the prodigal daughter, the favorite son, the corrupt layer, the town bad boy, etc.

Overall, the romance is better than the mystery.

Reminds me of Slow Heat in Heaven (which I love). So many shockers.

Sayre is strong and stubborn (in a good way), while Beck is oh-so ruthless and clever. One of the better Sandra Browns, I think.
