Spoiler The farther I get into this series, the less I feel I can say in the face of compounding spoilers. I will say I'm deeply appreciative of the less tense point this particular volume ended on, and hopeful about a certain relationship dynamic. If you want fantasy and adventure with believable interpersonal tension and a sprinkle of interoffice and interworld politics then I highly recommend giving the series a try.

Wait. Irene likes the detective? Why didn't I notice that?

I know the books are about book heists, but this book (and the others) leave me with unanswered questions.

The author takes her time (over several books) to develop relationships and reveal secrets. Will she end up one of the boys, both of them or none? Is she the child of her enemy?

I kept wanting to slap Kai and Vale 50% of the time and that's not a good sign.

You know there's a problem when you begin to question the premise of a character and the institution an entire book is based on.

This book made me wonder, why is Kai trying to be a librarian? Why did he join The Library?

What the fuck is the point of the library?

Why hasn't anyone slapped Vale yet?

Detailed review to come.

Solid third book but not my favorite in the series so far.
