PERFECT !!!

This series is SO GOOD you have to try it. It's different from what I have read, not regarding the bookish trope but regarding the plot and the settings.
I was completely transporter with them on their mountains, with familiars, dragons and other mystical creatures.
Kamzin is fierce and strong, I remember not liking her very much in the first book but in this one it was okay haha.
The plot was really great, I saw some part from miles away and other were total shocker to me which is refreshing.
And the writing is flawless... I am excited to read more books by this amazing author.

Around 150 pages in, I was afraid the book would lack some suspension, but right after that, it picked up pace, right until the end! This book was phenomenal!

“You're like the wind - you're meant to be out there, among the mountains and the stars, fighting storms and monsters and anything else foolish enough to get in your way.”

A fantastic ending to this duology. The characters are so interesting and they interact in a realistic way. The different sections of the plot were all equally engaging. There wasn't really any slow moments and towards the end I kept waiting for the shoe to drop and kick off the final battle.
