You can't go wrong with an Ingrid Seymour book šŸ˜ I think I've read nearly all of her books and haven't found one I dislike, (I don't think I ever will)

Holy follow up to story 2 and 3! Seriously rhe best one so far by a mile. This was super interesting and my heart ached for Nyro in this one so much but now I'm stoked to get to Bianca's side of the story next.

Nyro is somehow still alive after his plan to rescue his brother, Timotei, fails. And he seems to have found himself in the kingā€™s favour, if only because the king finds him amusing. He continues to scheme for a way to rescue Timotei again, and if possible, Talyssa as well, since he knows Bianca loves her, and heā€™s quickly falling for her.

This is my favourite instalment in the series yet! Thereā€™s lots of action and intrigue since Black Rook continues past where White Rook ends and we are left hanging about what happens to Bianca. I enjoyed the deepening romance between Nyro and Bianca in this book as well I hope things work out for those two!

I received and ARC from the author and Iā€™m voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I love how each book in the series goes back and forth between Bianca & Niro. The draw between them is there. But heā€™s in the black court and sheā€™s in the white court. They cannot be seen together. Love this!!

Oh my gosh! I was on the edge of my chair through this whole book. My heart ached for Nyro and Timotei. I felt every second of Nyros angry and rage as if it was bleeding from the pages. Then the scene with Bianca I was so excited I couldn't believe it. I can't wait for the next book and see what happens next with Bianca.
