the book dived into everything amazingly to abuse and grief to normal relationships and how life can be so different for others learning to be accepting of your own situations and everyone else’s how to cope and move on but not in a negative way rather you’re watching someone learn this and learning love through friendships. Loved this!!

to me Hardings death was shocking he had been content for a while yet Leila had just learned how to be content the end of his story and Leila bringing a potential new story is really bittersweet waiting a decade for somebody for them to leave when life feels perfect is always going to be hard

This book caught me by surprise but not in the best way..
If I had read the blurb on the back comparing it to me before you, I probably would have known I wasn’t gonna love the ending and round up of the story. But alas, I hardly every reading the back before I dive into a book🤷♀️
There was some really sweet things in this relationship, but there was a lot of hard stuff they both individually went through too. I did not enjoy or agree with the way the author chose to end their story and I ugly cried bad at the end so.
*content warning there seemed like a lead up to sex scene that I completely skipped over so not sure how in detail it got. Also in general talk about sex. Also bridal shower at one part of the book & more sexual talk & jokes then also.
Other content warning: Physical abuse, abusive father, parent abandoning child, miscarriage, talk of depression, loss of loved ones, death, grief.
