If you don't like an slightly weird FMC with an internal monologue, plenty of swearing and in my opinion hilariously weird phrases with your spicy fantasy books then this isn't for you. There are a few reviews that have a problem with the inhumans not acting in a human way- I really don't understand people who read fantasy with animal like 'make-believe' beings but need them to be more human ?? Thats not the point of fantasy, Read a normal romance book.

If you do like sort of kidnapping, curses, shifters, dragons , incubi, sucubi, strong willed FMC, alpha male, swearing, smut, a few glimpses at the occasional orgie. With a hilarious likeable side characters - I do hope we get more of the butler and ladies maid- I loved the banter they had together.
It's an engaging story that flowed quite well, world building and actual relationships development. Then give it a try - I have already started the next book and it gets spicier so if spice is not your thing don't carry on.

I also recommend reading the book over audio.i am usually someone who flicks between audio and reading but really struggled with the audio. Reading was much better.

A fun beauty and the beast retelling. It flew by and held my interest.

I absolutely adored Finley's character. Everything about her is amazing to me. Someone I wanna be like. I loved the story too. God do I have a bigass crush on Hanon *heart eyes*
The sexual tension between Nyfain and Finley was off the charts gahhh ❤️‍

This feels like YA with extra f-words and sex thrown in to prove it’s adult.

It amazes me that I can read so many retelling of beauty and the beast and find each one so different.

I loved this book!

Our beast is a dragon shifter who is the heart of the curse, but unlike the Disney version he is not a selfish boy.

Our Belle is still a bookworm but also fiercely strong. She hunts, makes medicine, and has a brain.

The mix of story, spice, and humor in this book was just so enjoyable!

Story may be similar but has way more depth than the original beauty and the beast.

The spice was

It wasn’t great… spice was fantastic but that’s about it. I hated the main character and her “I’m so tough, I’m not like other girls” thing. I also couldn’t stand the main love interest. Just blah.

I thought I was going to really love this book. I got to 10% when I realized it wasn't for me. I hated how the main character talked. Especially when she was talking to herself. Very childish.
I couldn't look past it. 1/5
