I'm not technically a follower of the whole FNAF thing, but my younger brother is currently obsessed with it, so he introduced me to the story and it's theories and also lent me this book (I'm still surprised at how fast he flew through it).

So, although I only knew the basic story of FNAF, I actually really enjoyed reading this. Sure, the writing style isn't the greatest, but I thought the story was gripping and I had no problems understanding what went on. One thing that bothered me a bit was that there were some spelling mistakes, but those could just be in the translated edition I read.

The main character Charlie is a likeable, realistic protagonist that I felt was a good representation of a teenager who had to deal with horrible things that happened in her past. Still, I thought that some of the realisations she had or memories she recovered were a little too convenient at certain points.

The story itself was pretty terrifying and gory at times, but that's a thing you know going into it. By the climax of the book I was at the edge of my seat because it was so scary and exciting. If you like the FNAF games or a fun, gripping horror novel, you should check this out.
