I found this book's exploration of the scientific basis for nature's positive impact on the brain to be in line with my fascination with the human experience. Its focus on creativity, self-reflection, and well-being really resonated with me.

As you read, you'll gain a fresh understanding of how our inner and outer worlds are interconnected.

What if there was a miracle cure that could help everything from high blood pressure to Anxiety, brain injuries, PTSD, and depression?
Well there is, and it's called nature. Williams explores everything from Asia's new trend 'forest bathing' to hospital design (hint: if you ever want to get better, you want a room with a window) to taking you on a camping trip with shell-shocked female veterans and an outdoor school for kids with ADHD.
She talks to the researchers who are finding out why nature helps all these conditions, and how, and shows you that spending time outside in nature is just going to make you happier, healthier, and better adjusted.

omfg I loved this. it has single-handedly encouraged me on my "undying love for nature" journey. adored the mix of psychology with anecdotal evidence with in-depth studies, and its honesty about outcomes. love love! would love to buy and re-read... so much wisdom that you can only grip on to 10% at a time.

I found this to be a thoughtful exploration of nature in a variety of contexts. Appreciated notes on limitations of research and practical suggestions for time spent in nature, and what type of nature is most helpful.

Really informative, well-researched, and lots of takeaways! I felt the author couldn't quite decide what she wanted her tone to be: at times it was academic, but there were occasional personal remarks that were almost surprising/jarring, given the research-heavy nature of the book.
