A very solid book. I was scared pretty much throughout the whole thing and I couldn’t put it down. The writing was wonderful and the characters were so real and well-written. There were a few twists and turns that I didn’t expect.
The whole Owl Society thing was a big kitschy for me, but overall it was a great premise.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone in a reading slump who loves horror!

I could not put this down!!! Such a great story. I was on the edge of my seat gasping and gagging when appropriate. Love the twists and turns this story uncovered!

If you’re a fan of slasher films check this book out!  I really liked Charity, but I did find myself yelling at her to forget about closing down the camp and just leave!!!!! Mr. Lamont will be just fine and if not he can deal.  My theory about one of the characters was correct, then they had to go and mess it up!!! I was rooting for you!!! Ugh. The ending definitely took me by surprise and I loved how the book ended in true horror movie fashion!!! This would be a great read for spooky season!!

I enjoyed this read. The gore was so well describe that it was very visceral. I think the ending was a bit lack luster, as were the plot twists, but still enjoyed the read!)

It's a bit ridiculous. I wish the writing was more cohesive and the characters more developed. I think there were some interesting concepts and good moments, but I think the execution is lacking. I don't think the twists worked well and are quite stupid in all honesty. Suspension of disbelief can only go so far, and when there are quite a lot of "plot holes" and inconsistencies, as well as having every character be rather inept it's just a slog.  The author writes well but I don't think she constructed this story very well.

I don't really read horror type books but this one was gifted to me and oh my gosh it took me back to my horror movie loving teenage ass 🤣 It was such a ride! It was funny, creepy as hell and left me with that anxious feeling in my chest . Actually brilliant!

This book is a great take on the summer camp/slasher/final girl trope. The initial set-up is clever and not one I have seen before. The book does a great job building tension. If a book can have jump scares, this book has them. There is a mystery intertwined with the horror. I liked the resolution of the mystery. This main protagonist, Charity, is an appealing lead character. Her responses to the events in the book were realistic. The responses of the other characters were realistic also. I can't recommend this book highly enough for those who like the horror trope I described above.
