So this book starts off with literally two different stories going on.

He has a story and SHE has a story. They don't really make much sense until the author merges the two story lines and they are both talking about both story lines as the main characters get closer.

I ended up enjoying it after that and after they got together and SHE spilled the beans about her story.

I would recommend it though.

Paige and Lily are identical twin and switch!
How cool is that right! I loved that they are adults and can still do this, the reason you will find out but what I loved was that it made sense to do this because things were not so safe for Lily and because of Paige’s profession it made sense for them to switch for a short time.

Jace the next door neighbor never really warmed up to his neighbor until now. Their meet-cute was perfect for the story it added a little fun and sweetness I thought the book needed.
The mystery and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t know who did anything it was a complete surprise for me. But I will tell you this my opinion of Paige is she is a kick ass chick who you better be on the lookout for she is tough and even in pain can kick some butt. Lily is a heck of a lot smarter than any of us think. I can’t wait for book 2.

The narration was fantastic, I loved Emma’ s work she brought these characters to life in a way that made me want more.

🎧 Audio Review 🎧

I listened to this audiobook because of my book club. I enjoyed it and all the excitement and suspense. When it started I thought it was going to be a little cheesy because of the Twin swap thing but really it wasn't at all. I really liked that there are 2 different things going on and it makes it almost feel like a two for one story ;) The meet cute was perfect and the chemistry was great too. I will be continuing this series for sure.

The narration was good, I don't know anything about accents but I enjoyed her Aussie accent.

Soldier, meet cop!

This is my first Rosalind James novel and I loved it! I love me a strong ass woman paired with an equally strong man. No pretend fights or unnecessary drama, just pure chemistry and love. This book was awesome bc the drama came from without and didn’t make a dent in their relationship, they were a team all the way. I freakin LOVED it!!

Four and a half stars.

Paige and Lily are identical twins. Lily runs a lingerie shop in Sinful, Montana while Paige is a cop in San Francisco. They are celebrating their birthdays at a spa retreat. Lily is the softer, gentler twin who has a hard time saying no, while Paige is the more direct, forceful twin. Lily is feeling pressured to sell her 20 acres of land to make way for a new ski resort and finds it difficult to say no to the developer. Paige is on sick leave after being shot in a domestic violence disturbance in which her partner, the victim, and the abuser all died. Paige suggests the two of them swap places, Lily can shop and relax in San Francisco while Paige can resist the developer in Sinful.

Jace is an Australian ex-special forces commando turned thriller writer living as a recluse in Sinful after his wife dumped him. He appears to have a disturbed stalker who sends him Misery-style stories, nude pictures and underwear, which wouldn't be so disturbing if it didn't seem to have been hand-delivered. Jace has seen his neighbour Lily a number of times and dismissed her as a sweet, blonde, soft type - not the sort of woman he's interested in - until one morning he and his dog walk past her homestead and hear her swearing like a trooper at her goats.

As Paige struggles to be the feminine Lily, run a lingerie shop and deal with hostility from the townsfolk who want the new resort she also battles with her attraction to Lily's neighbour. But as Paige too is subject to random violent acts and anonymous letters she and Jace have to decide whether there is one stalker or two.

Rosalind James manages to inject both humour and suspense into this wonderful novel where no-one is who they seem and I was kept guessing the end as to the identity of the stalker(s). I loved this book and can't wait for Lily's book!

Hot Aussie and steamy mystery

Paige and Lily are identical twins who each have a reason for avoiding their lives. To that end, they decide to temporarily switch places so that Paige can not only heal in solitude from a traumatic event, but also so that she can help Lily with her problem at home in Sinful, Montana. Former soldier turned writer, Jace has seen Lily from afar several times but something about her now is much more intriguing and has him wanting to get to know her when he all but ignored her before. Mysteries abound as a stalker emerges, Paige (as Lily) deals with someone sabotaging her land and business, and Jace finding out just who it is he is falling for. Great read by Rosalind James. Whether Aussie or New Zealander, I love the tough alpha male with the accent.
