Set in a brutal futuristic society where humans have been removed from their positions in the world, one young boy remains. With the help of his “family,” he must face the actions of manna past and do whatever it takes to save the future.
The the level of intrigue was there and I loved the art style. My biggest issue so far was that no where in this issue did you get the impression that the characters were androids. I only figured that out after rereading the description of the series. I like the easy switch between timelines and I’m definitely interested to see what this upload is.

Some fun imagery but light on feelings, with plot holes you could drive a super-tanker through.

This would work as an entry point to post-apocalyptic sci-fi, but as someone who loves this genre it fell flat because it wasn't adding anything new. It was too similar to other stories and didn't add enough of an original twist. I also found the central relationship very strange - it didn't feel like the writers were sure if it was meant to be romantic or parental and that blurred line didn't work for me. The plot was incredibly simple, with a generic love conquers all conclusion. The art was mostly great (especially the landscapes, robots, and use of colour) except for some depictions of faces that I found jarring. The flashbacks and page layouts also worked well for me. Easy to read but forgettable.

I loved the story and art. David and Chloe set out on a journey to bring back mankind. They meet unexpected allies and experience many dangers on the way. I was completely sucked into the story and couldn't put it down.
