Continuation of the story of Eliza and Alex that focused on the inept of the government that parallels their relationship.

Alexander and Eliza Hamilton have finally moved out of the Schuyler house and into one of their own, in New York City. Alex starts receiving clients as a lawyer, but his work is leaving Eliza alone for most of her waking hours. Meanwhile, the Hamiltons are becoming the most popular couple in New York City, hosting dinners, parties, and being the center of society. Alex and Eliza must figure out what it means to be married in a fledgling country.
I didn't like this book as much as the first, but I still liked it a lot and, so far, recommend the whole trilogy.

Finished Love & War by Melissa De La Cruz, the second book of the Alex and Eliza series on my way home from work tonight. According to the authors note this book is much more fictional than the first one is but I thought it was written well and very believable. Melissa does a great job with character development and she kept my interest throughout the novel. I rate this one 4 stars just like the last one and I look forward to reading the final novel in the series soon!

super sweet historically inaccurate tale of the lives of alexander hamilton and eliza schuyler. decided to pick up this series after i fell in love with the musical. i love romance and historical fiction books, so this series was the perfect choice and a nice non-racy read to break from my obsession with bridgerton

‪Forced myself to finish this book. I didn’t quite like how the story is paced. It’s too slow for my taste. ‬
