I grabbed this one after seeing Booksandlala feature and review it. The perspective and how this reads is like a movie script. It is definitely different but enjoyable. I found it quirky and entertaining. Definitely recommend for horror movie fans.

I think the "movie script" format didn't work at all in audio, it made the transitions very difficult to follow. I also didn't care for the tone of the book, that "supposed to be funny but it's not really". The mix of genres didn't work for me at all

I was so tempted to just not finish this, but it was short enough so I figured I might as well complete it. There was very little to care about in this book. Enjoyed the setup, but the execution was bad.

Stephen Graham Jones is such a slasher fan and it shows with every work of his I’ve read so far. I liked the way this story was told - so unique. A very fun ride. Plus, the Scream 1 quote on the cover of the book????? I was going to be down for anything that lay within. And THEN there was a Heathers quote as the epigraph?????? Yeahhhhhh, it was gonna be iconic. My main gripe was the constant use of certain phrases that made me roll my eyes every time I read them, but it was bearable.
