This book...

I don't I'll ever forget what it made me feel. If your thinking about reading it check for the TW.

I don't know how to review this one without crying again.

Ok, this book is everything you expected it to be since reading the synopsis. But at the same time it is more than that. It is a love letter to life and death, but mostly, to hope. I find difficult to read some parts because it hit to close to home, but I knew what I was getting myself into so I just stopped for a moment to breath. But, I want to remark the importance of this book. This is not a happy ending but a real one. It's sad and hard to accept but that's how life is to some people. I really appreciate how this book shows the struggle and the rawness of it. This are topics we don't like to discuss about but that we need to.

Ellie is a very raw and realistic character, she truly shows all the emotions that she went through in her life. From innocent ones to the tough ones. I find myself in some parts of her and her story, so she'll always be a part of me. August is another lovable character, and it was hard seeing how affected he was. Ellie's mom gives me some troubled feelings. I understand a 100% her actions, but at the same time, Ellie was right at resented her a little. They, as many incredible women, men, and children out there, deserved so much better. But sometimes, we found ourselves in a very dark place to where escape feels like an impossible dream, and enduring is the only way forward.

To finish, I just wanted to remind you that if you are hurting, please, please, ask for help. There'll always be a hand reaching out to you. Please, don't give up. I know how hard it can be, but please, keep fighting.
