A really fun read! James, Lydia, and Ysidro are all compelling and interesting characters, and the supporting cast are great - I hope we see Grippen and Hyacinth and the rest again. The takes on vampirism that Hambly is using are interesting, and I love how grounded in Edwardian England (and, briefly, France) the book feels. I’m definitely keen to read the sequels!
