great book, currently in the middle of the series, but the book definitely wins out of the two. i love the show’s representation of the vibe of the book, but the added plot definitely wasn’t my favorite. i feel like i perceive every character a little differently based on the things they do on the show.
Spoilercamilla getting with eddie(maybe? i get him, pete, and warren confused) was very out of character for her, karen and graham telling the guys they were together instead of always keeping it secret, and the kiss between billie & daisy?? those little details change everything! also, i noticed camilla’s condition during the interviews immediately, i watching with my fiancé who didn’t read the book, & i can’t wait til he finds out.
and again, i haven’t finished the show yet, but wow. can’t wait to see how they plan on finishing it i guess! the book is magnificent.

at  the beggining i was like "wowwww lets go  rock and roll" but then i was like "this   pretentious  people can never shut up" like yes i know this is a interview but still ... i was so annoyed with everyone...

Camila, Daisy and Karen deserve waaaayyyyy better.......

Hoping that the series is better tho

*spoilers ahead*
i loved this book so much:) i didn't expect for it to be written in the interview style format, but that made it so much more raw and real. the story was so unpredictable, i was on my toes the entire time because i just *knew* that daisy and billy were gonna get together. but they didn't. i loved how complex billy was in that way. when he finally came to terms with himself about how he felt for daisy, that didn't change much. he still wanted to be with his wife, he still wanted his family. he still loved his wife more than anything even though she wasn't who he loved most in that moment.
i don't want to give too much away, but i loved this book for everything that it was. i loved all of the feminist/girlboss anecdotes from daisy, karen, and even camila. even though the three of them had different views on what they wanted to do in life and ended up doing much different things in life, they still held the core value of "i should be able to do what i want and what makes me happy, even if it doesn't seem like the right thing for you". and i loved how the three of them supported each other.
i wholeheartedly recommend reading "daisy jones & the six". it's my second taylor jenkins reid book (after "the seven husbands of evelyn hugo") and i was worried that after reading tshoeh, another book by her might not live up to what tshoeh was. but i was wrong, this book is a different type of monster. plus, mick riva was mentioned in the book. which means that evelyn hugo exists in the same universe as daisy jones & the six. which means that theres a slight chance that they could have maybe been in the same places.

i was listening to fleetwood mac while reading this so i think that really helped to get me in the mood.

i can understand why they’ve adapted it into a show, it seems like a better way to consume this content that reading it. but i guess i’ll find out when i watch it.

the plot twist wasn’t really necessary tbh. it didn’t have a purpose in the same way evelyn hugo’s did.

it was a bit cliche but i still enjoyed it a lot.

This book 100% should be listened to through audiobook to get the full experience. Having the full cast of characters narrated by different people helped differentiate who they were and made following along all the more easier. Most of the story was your run of the mill band forms, band gets really famous, band members get wrapped up in all different types of addictions. However, it ends in a positive note and had a unique take on the dismantling of the band. Lots of great quotes from TJR. Would recommend to anyone who likes movies such as Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born

An incredibly engrossing story about a band's ups & downs as they make it in the industry. Unique way of structuring the book as it’s directed to be more of an interview/transcript format. Exhibits major life struggles that are faced & reiterates the different paths people in close proximity/ with the same goal have; everyone is on a different path, even if they’re doing the same things or working together in close proximity.
