So many reviews of this book are so negative! It was mostly stories about success with the process but you need those stories to feel it's worth while and since this is more in the law of attraction and manifestation verse I feel the stories are needed.

I actually tried this and I practiced on myself, my partner and my two cats. My cats have shown huge changes in a few days genuinely. Your perception is reality so if you go into it not being open then it won't work!

For people who have tried everything and feel a bit hopeless this is a tool.. it can't hurt?

Atrocious waste of time. If you love tautologies, ableism, sexism, and zero science, you might enjoy this book.

Kinesthetic muscle testing is bad enough, but Kirlian photography? Seriously? (Who recommended this book to me? I had it on a list of some kind…)

Yes, emotions are held in the body. Yes, the unconscious is enormously important.

But no, the brain is not a computer that stores exact replicas of exactly everything it’s ever experienced… I was honestly pretty shocked that the author didn’t even attempt to bring in science to support some of the claims.

Not even sure what the method here is because 25% of the way into the book it still hadn’t shown up. Had to create a DNF shelf for this one.

(And ps I’m usually able to get through even fairly anti-science books to get to the method because I’m always curious to try things myself even if they’re goofy. This book was unreadable for me.)

I haven't tried "releasing my trapped emotions" yet, according to the book I need a magnet(??).

But the testimonies did make me curious to try the technique and I enjoyed reading his unique perspectives on emotions.

So…the concept behind this book is very intriguing: Our bodies hold emotions that can affect our physical and emotional health, and once they are released, we can function better. Dr. Nelson claims that the average person can release these emotions after following his steps and using intention and magnets to move the energy. I really can’t comment as to whether or not his method works, because I haven’t tried it. I am open to the idea, although you really don’t need to read his book to learn the same steps listed for free on his website. The book is really just filler, full of random stories of healing, sprinkled with the author’s frequent gratitude to God. I was really excited about The Emotion Code, but the book came across as a cheesy infomercial. But does it work? Jury’s still out.
