This book feels like a dream from start to finish. The plot is shifty and hard to pin down, the rules of the world feel just out of reach...and Johnson has a clever way of weaving things in with subtext and information being implied in a way that, dreamlike, makes you feel you've always known it. A tense and twisty book, recommend if you're in the mood for that sort of thing.
