In this second volume you go deeper into the relationship between Yaichi and his ex wife. Also about his fears regarding his daughter and the realization gay people exist in a troubled world, not by choice but because culture imposes it. This single dad, working mother family configuration is also unsual and I love how subtle is that the issues are not there but "beyond". When he talks about why the marriage didn't work out is not through shame or grief, which I think is incredibly positive.

I am keen on getting on with this story.

These books were too precious. Kana, Mike, and Yaichi were an amazing trio to follow in two volumes spanning over three weeks in the story. If you only read one manga series I highly suggest you read My Brother's Husband.

Volume 2 of this little story was just as endearing and lovely as volume 1. Tagame has done a great job developing characters that are likeable, relatable, and who gently explore how we think about our past lives. I have yet to look to see if there are future volumes in this story, but I hope we get to see Kana and Yaichi go to Canada to visit Mike!
