Great quality thriller. There were several points that I felt the story mirrored Gypsy Rose's case a little too closely, but the author pulled together a unique ending that felt original. I read this on audio & enjoyed the dual narration for the dual POVs.

I thought this was going to be a Gypsy Rose AU but I really enjoyed the story and the alternating POVs.

I went into this book thinking I’d really enjoy it. I’ve always been interested in Munchausen by proxy cases, however the book just didn’t sit well with me. I was trying so hard to agree with Rose Gold’s decisions, but they just seemed too excessive with getting her mother back. I would have preferred a storyline where Rose Gold learns how to live in a society without her mother. I love a good revenge story, but at the end I just felt bad for the mother and got no satisfaction for the revenge. The ending was very fast paced and I knew the ending halfway into the book.

This was a pretty good book, I devoured it in two days. Rose Gold was an amazing character to read- Wrobel did fantastic work writing her. I will say, however, that the ending felt very rushed. The pacing was moving along smoothly and then everything happened at once. I'll keep Stephanie Wrobel in mind to read more of her books in the future.

This was incredibly enjoyable, if not well written, because I am a fan of the Gypsy Rose story.
