I really like the combination of Kate and Nick. The capers are sensational but fun. And Kate's dad is a great extra character.

Even better than The Heist!!! The conflict of romance between Kate and Nick is very reminiscent of Morelli and Ranger with Stephanie. As exciting as Plum too!!

I don’t know if I will pick this series up again. It has some good bones, but it just seems lacking. I expected more humor and not such generic characters.

Kate O’Hare is an FBI agent who worked as a Navy Seal. She is working with a conman Nick Fox to go after other wanted men. Thanks to a team of “misfits” and her Dad(a veteran) and a couple of his friends who are veterans, Kate and Nick try to take down an ex politician.

I loved this book, it had everything. A sexy kick-butt heroine and a sexy conman. I loved that Kate uses her brawn as much as her brain, she doesn’t resort to the little dumb blond chic, like some girls do. Nick is a bad guy, but it’s so hard not to root for him and hope that he and Kate end up together as a couple instead of a partnership. The twist at the end was nice, you aren’t totally sure this one character is gone or not, you almost hope that they aren’t. The scenery is incredible, they go to China, Scotland, Montreal, LA, New York, and Kentucky. You feel like your travelling all over the world. You wish you had Kate’s job. If you like an action packed story with fast cars, hot girls and guys, explosions and evil politicians, then you’ll love this. And what is more perfect for a memorial weekend read then to read about vets trying to take down an evil politician?

I am a huge fan of Scott Brick now. I admit it got a bit getting used to hearing a guys voice for a female character, but after that. He even does a Scottish brogue, made me wish I can go to Scotland.

This is book 2, but you don’t need to read book 1. Tho, I highly recommend you do, so you can find out how Nick and Kate meet, it’s fascinating.

To read or not to read? Read it if you're a crime buff and liked White Collar (TV).

Movie? Nothing yet, but I'd like to see USA, maybe TNT, or someone pick this up.

Okay! So in general, this was just a standard crime book, but it carried over from the first book in that we saw the same characters and such. But that was a disappointing place for me in this book - the characters, I mean. They were very similar in both physical and psychological descriptions. I missed the descriptions we got in The Heist, that seemed to be missing from here.

The believability was a huge issue for me. It seemed as if there were too many things happening in this book to really be, believable. It was just a bit too out there. So where the scoring lacks in believability, it definitely gets a bonus point on uniqueness.

As was with the first book, this book was a quick, easy read, that was also easy to follow with some of the jumping between characters and scenarios. Fun, fast paced, writing made for fun, fast paced reading. The book was nothing short of exciting and page turning, even in the moments of down time. The story-line itself, wasn't great. I felt like the believability of the events paired poorly with the story itself. There were too many holes and places to question.

The title was a good match, but again with the crappy cover art! I'm eager to read the next book, despite this one's flaws.

I really did not expect to get hooked on this series but it’s so fun. I highly recommend the audiobook format.
