Loved this book. Roe Horvat is always my go to for hot, steamy and kinky, but also for great stories. I loved the first book in this series “Skydive”. It built a great world with awesome characters. “Levity” follows Davidson on his search for his mate. He was a secondary character in Skydive and was so grumpy. Lawrence and Ernest are back from Skydive and Davidson’s one and only turns out to be Leo. Leo has been through a lot and is not sure how to react to Mr. Grumpy Pants. They have some amazing kinky moments and feelings are everywhere. I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!

Levity is the second in the Dragons of Ardaine series, and if possible, I loved it even more than the first book.
We met Davidson in book one, and what a grumpy asshole he was. We knew some of it was because he was in his mid-40s and despairing of ever finding his mate, but still. In a surprising twist, his mate turns out to be Leo, who we met in Unexpected as Richard’s selfish ex. Both men have more to them than what they show the world, and they are so perfect together and for each other.
Leo is on the run from an abusive man he got involved with after Richard when he encounters Davidson at an exclusive sex party. Davidson has to shock Leo with his dragon quickly afterwards, as the abusive ex has men try to kidnap Leo. While keeping Leo safe at his compound, the two come to terms with their status as mates and deal with the issues they both have feeling worthy of love. They also navigate their shared kinks with some sizzling hot scenes.
I loved Levity and how it showed all the painful things that came together to make Leo the way he was, as well as how Davidson worked so hard to comfort his mate. This was definitely an erotic romance, as Roe Horvat does so well, with fantastic dirty talk and d/s elements. Definitely recommend.

4 “I won’t let anyone hurt you. Not even bend a hair on your head.” stars
“I’ve waited for you for twenty-five years. [..] You’ll love me, and you’ll be faithful and loyal. A good little omega. […] I’ll soak you in my cum, bring on your heat, and then I’ll breed you.”
Omegaverse isn’t my favourite genre or a genre that I read very often, but Roe Horvat could re-write the phone book and I would read every word, just waiting for what going to happen next, so thats how we got here. It’a not surprise that I loved this book. I don’t think that Roe Horvat has ever written something that I didn’t love, he just has a way of understanding everything I want to read about and then write it in a book. But this book specifically felt like it was made for me, this book just had all of my favourite things when it comes to books, and did everything exactly like I wanted it to be.
Brief Summary
Leo goes to a party at a club and he meets a super hot older man (Donovan) and they get together. Things happen and then the man tells Leo that he is a dragon and that they are mates. Leo is super shocked as he didn’t even know that dragons existed, but they fall in love in the process.
I don’t even know how to explain how much I enjoyed the content of this book. Reading this book felt like a super warm hug that just kept on getting better and better as time went on. Everything about the content of this book just really connected with it and I was such a fun of it. This book had my two favourite things to read about, really hot sex scenes and really cute hurt/comfort, so I was super into everything this book had to offer me.
Lets talk about the hurt/comfort in this book first because I just loved it so much. Leo has been hurt in the past because he was in a really awful relationship and a lot of it is still hunting him to this day. He’s super down on himself, doesn’t believe in himself and doesn’t trust anyone or love. But Donovan is determined to show Leo that he is perfect and that he is everything that Donovan has ever wanted. And I just adored reading about that so much. Donovan was always there for Leo and he was always comforting him and telling him how great it is. All of those scenes just melted my heart so much, they were just so adorable and I had the best of time reading them.
I also adored the relationship in this book. Leo and Donavan start off on shaky grounds and it takes a bit until they trust each other to be everything that they could ever need, but they don’t give up on each other, they keep fighting for it and trying to upon up to each other. I just found it so lovely how they kept fighting to be together. I loved how they kept working on their relationship and how they kept trying to find ways for their relationship to be perfect for the both of them. I loved how they were always ready to compromise and to listen to each other when something was wrong, to see how they could improve themselves, I just found this part of the lovely. Donovan had been waiting to find his mate for over 20 years and he had been so lonely his entire life, so all he wanted was to love his Leo and be with him, and I just adored that so much because Donovan cherished Leo in every ways that he could. I loved how Donovan always gave his undivided love ane attention to Leo. Donovan’s first goal in life was to be perfect for Leo and make sure that Leo was happy every seconds of every day, and I loved that so much. Their relationship just made my heart melt so much, they were just the best together.
Their romance just ended up being so mushy and sweet and reading all of their interactions put the biggest grin on my face. I just adored reading about their romance and their love of each other.
Side note, their romance was super obsessive and possessive, which is always a very good thing in my book. And I adored how it was done in this book.
Also, Donovan is super awkward and doesn’t know how to interact with people much, which is something that I can very much relate to. I found it so relatable how he didn’t know how to be in a relationship and how to take care of Leo at first. Everything about interacting with people was just a little awkward and harder for him to understand and I never related to a character so much in my life.
This is a book written by Roe Horvat, so it was always going to be hot. Roe Horvat always writes some of the best sex scenes I have ever read and he really achieved gold in this book because all of the sex scenes in this book were just so damn hot and absolutely perfect. This book was for sure one of the hottest book I have read in a while and I appreciated it very much. Also, the dirty talk was just so out of this world. It was made out of humiliation mixed in with praise, and it was just the perfect mix of both. I loved how Leo loved to be humiliated but told how perfect he is at the same time, it was just the perfect mix of everything and it was very hot to read too.
I had the best of time reading this book. This book just the perfect mix of scenes that put the biggest smile on my face and then scenes that made me droll due to how hot they were, which is always a lovely reading experience in my book.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion

I loooved Skydive but this one wasn't for me. Leo was such a bitch in Unexpected but I still felt sorry for him. He was so dismayed by Richard's rejection when he was just trying to do what they had always done in their relationship, and I was so looking forward to reading his story.
However, no shade to others who are but I am not really into fetishized pregnancy, delivery, or nursing so I couldn't really get into this one. I carried twins and nursed them both until they were over a year, and although I absolutely loved the emotional connection from being pregnant and nursing, nothing about any of that was physically enjoyable. So I guess it's difficult for me to imagine having an orgasm while in labor. Also, nursing itself is often physically uncomfortable if not outright painful, and I get that the "lover's milk" thing is supposed to be erotic and not like the production of milk for the babies but I just can't.
I don't think I care for the Master/slave dynamic either, which I'm surprised by because I love a Daddy/boy relationship or regular D/s. Master/slave just seems so passive, like the slave is allowed to state their own preferences or whatever but it's legit only because they're allowed. If they weren't allowed to do so they wouldn't. Idk, I can be quite literal when it comes to language so I'm probably just literally applying these words and misinterpreting.
Anyway, this one wasn't it for me but I will continue to read Roe Horvat's books because the characters are always well-developed and loveable, and the stories are always imaginative and well-written. I can skip over any parts that I'm not into (which is what I ended up doing a lot in this book).
