This novel was super charming and sweet. However, this was a case of right book wrong reader. I just wasn't my cup of tea even though it was a really good story. The characters were solid, and the plot kept me engaged enough to keep reading. But that was it, I just couldn't really connect or invest in the story of our heroine or our hero and I felt like I was going through the motions.

I do believe though that those who are searching for an endearing contemporary romance set during the christmas/holiday season will absolutely adore this. Novak has a wonderful writing style and the development of the characters is well written--I unfortunately just couldn't connect.

A truly beautiful, heartfelt and emotional read of love, healing and the realisation that redemption and forgiveness most often come from within.

This was by far my favorite book in the series. Tobias is such a good man who has just had some horrible things happen in his life. The ex-husband is not a nice guy at all and I loved watching him lose the girl.

*I received a free copy of Christmas in Silver Springs. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review which is honest and unbiased.*

I don't really know what to say about this novel, other than I didn't connect with anything in this one. Which made me sad, as I was really looking forward to finally getting Tobias' story. I didn't find anything here original, it was like some names were changed away, and the tension was very similar to the tension in other Silver Springs novels.
Some of the problems Tobias and Elle had weren't fully resolved, but kind of just disappeared which was a bit frustrating.

I can't believe how spineless Harper was throughout the ENTIRE book. I thought maybe this would be one of those books where she grows a spine and stands up for herself. NOPE!
Spoiler She places all of her value and self-worth on if a guy wants her or finds her desirable. (Strike 1) Then she bases her decision to uproot her and her children and move to Silver Spring on whether or not her and some guy hook-up. No consideration for her kids desire to stay or proximity to her sister. (Strike 2) Then she tells her ex-husband that she's leaving him. When he asks why, does she list all his narcissistic qualities or state that she deserves better than what she received their entire relationship? No. She says she's leaving him for TOBIAS.
Bish, What???(Strike 3, you're OUT!)
