This book had me chuckling out loud at times

There were times in this book that I couldn't help but chuckle out loud. Painting... IYKYK.

While over the top spicy, there was enough connection to keep me reading, and I even managed a bit of sadness, too.

Well worth the read.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The voice actirs/narrators did a good job with this story.

As the daughter of the Minnesota Sleet’s Head Coach, Izzy’s friends have convinced her: no more ice hockey players. With her friend’s support, Izzy decides that the best way to boost her fragile self-esteem is to let loose and enjoy a one-night stand. All it takes is a dating app, a hotel bar, and a sexy-as-hell man who’s also sweet and funny to fortify her courage. But Izzy forgets that there’s a rule about assumptions for a reason. She assumed that Zachary was passing through town and that he was a businessman—literally anything other than a professional ice hockey player. She also assumed she’d never see him again. But Zach hasn’t stopped thinking about the night they shared, and now he’s got Izzy in his sights again, he’s determined to change her mind and convince her to date one last ice hockey player—him.

FMC Izzy and MMC Zach both have a bit of growing to do, and although it was frustrating at times that Izzy tried so hard to resist the chemistry between them, the cat and mouse plot that underlined the first two thirds of the story made for some great banter and laugh out loud humour. I especially loved that the story featured not only the developing relationship between Izzy and Zach, but also platonic and/or familial relationships that are central to their growth as individuals throughout the novel and which were utterly heartwarming to read. As with the first novel in the series (Sleet Kitten), Sleet Sugar was a fun, lighthearted read that had me smiling and laughing like an idiot at times, and which absolutely lived up to the sweetness implied by its title.

Sleet Sugar is book two in the Sleet series. I absolutely loved Zach and Izzy together. This story is witty, adorable and fun. This was an insta-love, hockey romance with all the feels. The chemistry is off the charts. This was my first book by this author and I am looking forward to the next in this series.

Aubrey Vincent and Tor Thom did a great job with this story.

a solid book 2

Just like the first this was entertaining.
If you like sports romance with a bit of rom com and minimal spice I’d recommend

Although there IS spice
So if that’s not for you you won’t like it.
All books are standalone but interconnected
I’d recommend reading book 1 first

Sweet!

This was a really fun book with Izzy branching out to dating life and somehow finding the one type of guy she was avoiding in Zach. I loved that Zach didn't give up on his goal of convincing Izzy that they should be together and add in a little girl help in the form of Meghan and there was no way these two could fail at getting together.
