I loved the film adaptation of this book when it first came out, and I always put off reading the book. I wish I read this before seeing the film as I think the emotional impact would have been better. Really enjoyed this…

Very divergent / hunger games YA dystopian setting so I’m glad it didn’t go into that territory : feels more grown up and sad. Didn’t particularly love the main character but enjoyed the disconnected “let me give you context” style of storytelling.
