All right, this one was much better than the first one. The mystery was throughout the entire book, unlike time. It was pretty gripping. I read straight through in 4 hours, so it had me hooked. I still don't like Lia. I still don't really care for the love triangle aspect. However, overall, I think this was much more well-rounded than the first book was.

I will say, I called it! The minute we met a character, I was like, 'I bet that's the big bad', but there were enough twists and turns within the story that the mystery satisfied me. With what happened at the end, I'm excited to dive into the next one.

The romance angle continued to be very cringe in this one, and the plot was predictable.  It was odd that towards the end it was laid out as a kind of twist when it felt so obvious that I was questioning if maybe it was circling into red herring territory but nope.

Serves it's purpose for being a book I don't care about in between other books I do.

This book has me on the edge of my seat. Those plot twists were something else.

As much as I loved this book I can’t help but critics the lack of development in Slonea’s character. I want to see her have her moment to shine.

Agent Sterling is now one of my favs because outside of Judd no one cared for those children’s safety. They’re literally seventeen.
