Once again EK blows me away with how she writes friendship! The romance was hot, and the characters were fun, with one major caveat. It was she found a grab bag of tropes about Hispanic/Latinx people in fiction and chose them all, and it was kind of appalling.

Okay, hear me out. NO. WHAT ON EARTH NO. This is the a hard no for me. I hate how Demi is trying to talk him into sex with her for the majority of the book! I know he said that she didn't but it completely and totally feels like she did (probably because she did). that gives this book a couple of thumbs down and officially the worse romance in the series. HOWEVER. I loved Pablo so very dearly, I wanted to permanently harm Neko, and the bit with TJ almost had me in tears. Extremely fun and humourous sideplots and lackluster creepo romance. I still liked it, but I totallyquestion Demi.

Honestly, one of my favs in Briar U series. Started off as Hunter and Demi being partners in one Psych class assignment. I loved how their friendship built up from that.

I finished reading this a while back so i kind of forgot what happened, tho I'm pretty sure Hunter had a crush on Demi even tho she has a bf. I liked seeing Hunter suffer from his celibac era lmao jk but that's what it feels like after reading the whole off-campus and going straight to briar u series. I feel like im a part of the gang.

This one's a friends-to-lovers trope, but has a sub theme of mental health which i totally loved! (im a little biased bc Demi is a Psych Major)

Warning: since it has mental health elements
Spoilerthere is suicide ideation by another character, that was later on resolved by Demi

Spice level of this one is 🌶️🌶️ (2) or (3) 🌶️🌶️🌶️ ig

i really enjoyed hunter and demi’s story.i enjoyed how there was never a 3rd act breakup and they gradually worked their friendship into a relationship.the reason it got half a star taken off,was i thought the story slowed in the middle with demi and her ex boyfriend.it felt that she was so naive and couldn’t see what what is front of her and that annoyed me.
