I am a huge believer in fate - however, the premise of this book even had me skeptical. Gloria, the matriarch of the family, has long had visions of when her family members will meet their matches, their soulmates. She has always been right to a certain extent. But this book shows that sometimes even fate is not enough to keep two people together.

I knew the chemistry between Edie and Theo was off from the start and pined for a connection with Bennett. I’m glad my pining came to fruition.

i really enjoyed all the character growth in this book - but that meant the plot really lost out. I thought how it ended was great but we barely got to see that part of the plot develop, which was such a shame - Bennett deserved more time

I breezed through this one, knowing it would be a quick read I could finish before the weekend. This one intrigued me with the magic-of-soulmates concept, a strong theme focused throughout the book.

Edie grew up knowing exactly when she should meet the love of her life, her first clue was from her grandma Gloria when she announced the exact date when this would happen. She's known all her life that soulmates are a sure thing in her family, which leads her to anticipate for this special "date" and meeting the love of her life. Though when she does, will everything lead up to her happily ever after?

This story was a light and fun romance read for the most part. Edie gave off strong Carrie Bradshaw vibes, somewhat of a hopeless romantic that wants to go by intuition, but was mostly dead set on meeting her soulmate for her predicted "date". I liked her and I liked how the story progressed and ended. The author was great in tying fun New York moments and imagery into the story and a great supporting cast of characters as well. I could actually see this story being picked up for a show/movie, just something I could see being adapted on the big screen

Just what I needed to read today. So much about life is out of our control, and some things you can’t force. Bonus points for NYC and twin sisters.
