Angelo x Beth. He's told to watch her at the gym she works at as a PT. He starts to like her and she thinks he hates her. Lots of miscommunication. Eventually she lets him into her and her nephew's lives (she's raising him after her estranged brother passed in a car accident)hellxriver's review against another edition

The premise is that physiotherapist, Beth, and her newly inherited nephew Noah are on the run from the Philadelphia mob after a series of tragedies. Her old family friend asks security expert and all round giant of a man, Angelo, to keep an eye on them when they move to his city. Beth and Angelo’s budding relationship is in jeopardy when Beth finds out that Angelo has been keeping secrets, and things come to a head when danger finds them in their new hiding place despite them changing their names.
This was a solid, well-balanced romance with the perfect blend of sweet, funny, emotional and suspenseful. I adored the growing relationship between Beth and her nephew- it felt authentic in its development and the emotion was perfectly executed. I enjoyed the characters overall and seeing Vincent and Sasha again from Book 1. If there’s a little niggle, it’s with the spicier scenes- they always sounded a little 🥵 rather than 🌶 and there’s a comment that Angelo makes at a point about not being “dirty” in STI terms that I found unnecessary. But other than that, I thought this was solid and really enjoyed it.

Moderate: Murder
Minor: Emotional abuse, Fatphobia, Gun violence, and Stalking
There is a scene where the heroine is roofied, consider that if you might be sensitive.
