easily one of the best books i read this year!! the story was well developed, the characters were solid, the writing was beautiful, and how could i not mention the illustrations! they were absolutely breathtaking and really made the whole world and all the different creatures in it feel real. wonderful book for all ages imo, would make for an absolutely great tv show (i know id watch it!)

This is a truly lovely story. It's at its core an adventure about dragons and fairies and monster, but it's also a story about how few things in life are as simple as we might first think, and about the importance of trusting those around you.
