This was an amazing read, which had me gripped immediately. From the first words: “The problem with being a killer when you are only fourteen…” I was intrigued. This book had me wanting to read it all the time and I really didn’t want to put it down! So much so that I got through it in 2 days!! The genre is sci fi/ paranormal thriller and is fast paced and intense to keep you hooked. With a powerful opening, a host of carefully crafted characters and lots of twists and turns along the way- I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great page turner! I loved the way that the story was written and felt myself rooting for the protagonist, Blaine. Easy to follow and definitely worth 4 stars

This book teeters on the edge of paranormal thriller and supernatural horror, that really kept me guessing until the end. I absolutely devoured this book, and finished it one sitting. Considering this is not a genre I would normally read, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy it as much as I did.

One thing to note, there are many characters in this book considering it's set in a very small town, and on occasions I found it difficult to keep up. I would recommend reading this when you have the time to pay attention and be fully engaged with the writing, as otherwise you'll end up completely confused!

This book was fast paced, creepy, dark and written with great suspense throughout. Anyone who enjoys murder mysteries will like this book. It has touch of paranormal and sci-fi element. The way it started - "The problem with being a killer when you are only fourteen..." made me want to know what exactly happens.

There were twists and turns and it was well written. So many characters and vivid description of how everything happens is dark. Once it starts there is no going back and the end wasn't what I expected. Overall it was a good read.

Thank you lovebooktours for a chance to read this.

What a book. Not at all what I expect. It was fast paced and racy.

It had love, lust, intrigue, murder, suicide and the supernatural.

I can't say that I expected the ending and who Sam turned out to be. It was a bit of a shock but I was thrilled with it. I could hardly put it down.

Sad that so many of the characters didn't survive but it was such a captivating book I hardly drew breath whilst reading it.

A firm 4 star read and i would definitely read more from this author. What a triumph.
