This book was only ok for me. I liked the story line but I felt like there was a lot of rambling.

Have you ever felt everyone looked down on you and life was never going to give you a break?
The first line of this book shows you just how bad Beth’s life is and how it feels like there is just no end in sight:

“Most days, Beth Forrest loved her job. After wearing a scratchy polyester wedding dress splattered with fake blood for eight hours, today was most definitely not one of those days.”

From a very young age, Beth has felt lower in class than others around her. Then she falls in love with a sweet young guy who doesn’t see her like that. The only problem is she’s told by his family and others that she isn’t good enough for him, so she leaves. Then ten years later who should walk into her business, while she’s wearing this wonderful outfit, but her first and only love, James. Oh, how will she ever get through this night?

It was a joy to read this book because there were so many fun parts. I loved all the funny bumbles these two characters had. I also enjoyed all the interesting British phrases and words. This book flowed so smoothly and had many wonderful characters.
Autumn Macarthur is a gifted storyteller. She can weave a story with just the right amount of flair that I started believing these were real people. I think I’d love to go to London and take a look around. However, I might not want to go up in the Tower and do all those stairs. I’m sort of like Beth in this, stairs and heights are not my friends!
This story written by Autumn Macarthur is a sweet story of love and acceptance for who we are. It also covers issues of jealousy, and fear of rejection. She shares how through God’s love and grace we can overcome these obstacles. Autumn Macarthur does a wonderful job of weaving God’s truth in such a way it isn’t fake, it’s real.
I highly recommend getting this book for your reading pleasure!
