The gothic vibe of this novel was such a fun read for the beginning of fall. I loved getting to see the next adventure Veronica and Stoker got into, and I’m obsessed with the evolution in their relationship. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in this series.

Another stunning mystery. This one hit me in the feels a bit. Such good emotional depth and growth with the characters. Great romantic tension and the mystery kept me guessing!

I love this series so much!!!! And this may be my favorite yet. It seems like they keep getting better and better. The sheer levels of emotion I went through….This series is a beyond worthy successor to my beloved Amelia Peabody and Emerson from Elizabeth Peters. I can’t give it higher praise than that. I’m so invested in EVERYONE. I am also now a HUGE fan of Tiberius.

4.5⭐️ I am obsessed with this series. Every book so far has been epic and different from one another. The writing style is so fun and funny.
This book we have Witches, Giants, Knackers, A missing bride, and an overwhelming amount of romantic tension. While devouring this book I screamed internally because of the tension between the two MCs, “JUST FRIGGIN TELL EM!” was a constant chant. 😂 Usually these types of situations stress me out but I at least had a good time and by the end of the book it was SO worth it.

I really loved this latest addition to this amazing series. The mystery was interesting - and the setting was wonderfully mysterious, and island with tales of mermaids and pirates and an old castle with hidden passageways. Stoker and Veronica are making some progress on their romance - yay!
