This was an interesting story, but... I kept getting hung up on James Patterson. He writes fiction...this wasn't fiction. It took me awhile to reconcile this (stupid, I know). I wish there were a little more character development, but with Cory as the narrator, it was a little tough. I love learning more about Tourettes's and OCD... the delivery through the book left me a little wanting, though.

Insightful. Does contain some vulgarity, but never gratuitous.

Quite the case against medicating kids with behavior/attention problems. But it didn't enjoy any of it until the last section. I'm pretty sure that I will never like a James Patterson book.

heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time

It was awesome to find out my favorite author wrote a book about a condition we just found out my child has. Love how it is written from Cory's point of view. My heart broke for Cory and his family but they never gave up hope that he could get better and reach his dreams. Great read!
