This was so boring. I feel like I’ve watched this exact plot in four different movies in the past few years. I don’t even care about the whodunit or whatever the mystery is supposed to be because I’m so bored by it.
I think the audiobook also didn’t help with my enjoyment because the narrator sounded like a 70-year-old woman when the main character is 35.

If you think you have an idea of what this book will be like, or you find yourself between the pages and think you know what's going on while reading this book, no - you don't. I bought this book blindly because I'm a feral swiftie who was hooked by the dedication. I stayed because it was twisty, turny, dark, and absolutely impossible to put down. The characters were well written, the plot was interesting and I found myself surprised by the twists - Something hard to do at this point. I found myself getting full body chills at points, moving from one room to another so I wasn't alone. I would give this a 10/5 if I could. Creepy, captivating, and a great story.

Disappointed by the surprise supernatural elements of this book. Very deus ex machina resolution.

so this book is slooooow at the beginning but then it picks up and it’s this very detailed, intense thriller that had me actually hooked and wanting to finish to see what happens……and then with about 100 pages left things start going in a complete opposite direction than the first 200 and some have been heading. there’s not one but THREE insane twists within those last 100 pages that had me flipping back to the beginning pages to see if there’s any clues that this off the wall nonsense would be happening. there’s none. I’m giving 2 stars solely for those first 200 or so pages because the storytelling got very intriguing and pulled me in. If I’m rating the last 100 pages….you’re lucky I finished reading this. Like whatever you think is happening as you read is definitely 100% not what actually happens.

OMG this was a very very interesting read. The plot twists and everything, some parts are lengthy but I have enjoyed the book and still amazed by the way this author can think of the storyline for this book.
