Honestly was not expecting to like this as much as I did. This was entertaining, funny, and pretty quick in pace. It was challenging, candid, and such a varied and interesting story. I will say, there were some moments that were pretty graphic and I wish it wasn’t so, but I was thankful for the author’s blatant honesty in the rest of the book. Definitely check the content warnings.

Cheryl has such a stunning style of writing and her story is incredibly captivating. It felt like I was walking through it with her.

An inspirational tale of recovery and growth through challenges and adversity. 

Cheryl takes us on an adventure through nature, making new friends and lasting memories along the way. But this tale isn’t all happy and we get a clear view of Cheryl’s tumultuous mindset as she struggles through her hike on the Pacific Coast Trail. 

Starting the hike due to the loss of her mother to cancer, her own divorce and the start of a drug addiction, Cheryl finds peace and sense of self through the difficulties she overcomes along the journey.
