A story with 3 women as main characters, seamlessly written by 3 women. The book "bounces" back and forth between "current time" (Sarah's storyline), and 1915 during the ill fated trip of the RMS Lusitania (Carline's Story and also that of Tess). A glimpse into the history behind the RMS Lusitania and what happened. Filled with intrigue, suspense, romance, a view in to the splendor of the early 1900's that carried along with it servants and those of lesser means trying to survive. Well written. Could NOT tell that there were 3 different writers.

I would give it 3.5 stars. I received this through book exchange with my book club and I liked it more than I thought I would. I do not naturally gravitate towards these type of books. Also, I am not a fan of multiple POVs in a book. My favorite character in the book is Tess and I loved learning her story and what happens to her. I wished the authors would have given more of the outcome with Tess and Sarah. If I could have gotten a little bit more from the point of where the stories left off I would have given it a higher rating. I was pleasantly surprised at how well three authors wrote together for this story. I am interested in which author wrote which character.

This one was good and the timeline was fascinating but I just couldn’t identify with any of the characters. I was also rushed in trying to finish it with a library deadline so I don’t think that it helped matters. Interesting but wouldn’t recommend.

This was tough to get through. The plot was all over the place and at the same time 100 pages would go by and nothing had happened. The three narratives were an interesting idea but I didn't really like any of the narrators.

Espionage, Impersonation, Secrets is what awaits those boarding the Lusitania in 1915.

Oh my this book! I was nervous about reading a historical fiction written by three authors but I loved it! I have their next book from the library.

I haven’t read anything about the sinking of the Lusitania before and really didn’t know that much about it. I found it to be the perfect setting for whirlwind of a story and I felt as though I was on board trying to piece together the mysteries before it was too late.

WWI is my favourite time period for a historical fiction. I love books with spies and secret codes too, it just makes for an enthralling story. I loved each character in this book—we follow three women—and I felt like the flip from present day to the past was seamless. One timeline did not move way ahead of the next so you aren’t spoiled anything as you are trying to figure it out.

I was so excited for The Glass Ocean, because after reading many WWII novels, and lightly touching on the sinking of this ocean liner, I honestly hadn’t read much about the Lusitania.

Williams, Willig, and White do an excellent job of taking the reader back in time, and showing what it would have been like to travel in luxury among the elite. I also loved the past and present stories as the truth unravels and the mysteries surrounding the espionage and secrets are revealed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars!

I love when a story draws me in and sparks my interest in history. Of course I had to look up more about the sinking of the Lusitania. Marked off one star because I was left with a few unanswered questions.
