Unsteady is gorgeous, a book filled with characters with such depth and such heart that I can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy as I read about them. Sadie and Rhys are two broken humans, who come together to find healing and love and trust. Family is a huge part of this tale, and they create it together beautifully.

There are lots of little plot points that I’m hoping will be explored further in later books, as I have a lot of unanswered questions about these characters, particularly Bennett, Coach Kelley, Ro and Toren.  Can’t wait to see how their stories (hopefully) progress in the future. I also would have liked some of Sadie’s storylines to be fleshed out more, particularly around her custody case. We got very little information about how it came about, how it ended, and what happened to her father so I’d be very intrigued to get more information about that.

This was so good. I loved this book. I really liked the character development and the mental health development of the characters. Also the fact that once they got together, their mental health challenges didn’t disappear, showing that love didn’t cure their troubles.

After an unfortunate hit, Rhys experiences anxiety like no other. The way that it's portrayed in the novel is well written and exactly what it feels like. Sadie spends most of her life fighting the same anxiety and doesn't feel love, like truly, until Rhys shows her. They help each other through the worst times of their lives and fall in love through the process.

I've been waiting for this book since July (I think?), so obviously I had to pause whatever I was doing and read it as soon as it came out.

When I don't like a book I write paragraphs about the things that bothered me, but when there's something I love I never know how to express myself and explain what I enjoyed. Unfortunately this is one of those cases too.
I just... I cried. It made me emotional. It broke my heart and put it back together. So that obviously makes it a five star read for me.

I was so impatient and excited about this book that in the past couple of months I kept reading and rereading all the snippets that the author had shared, so many of the emotional and impactful moments I already knew and was expecting. They still got to me though, and there were also a lot of emotional moments that hadn't been shared before so it's not like I actually spoiled myself.
