From someone who has not read anything by this author: This is a fast-paced fantasy story (with hints it's Urban/PNR/romantic fantasy?) and a lot going on. It's a bit confusing at times, with a lot of names, gods (gods that are called more than one name? I think?), and different worlds, so I found it a bit difficult to keep up. But it was well-written and I can see how someone who has read the series might find this more enjoyable than I did, so I bumped it up to 3.75.
